# MIN_CONNECTIONS


Lower bound on warm connections kept in the pool.

The pool always keeps at least this many connections open, even during idle periods. This avoids the latency spike that comes from establishing a fresh connection on the first request after an idle window.


## Notes

Set this to 0 in test environments where connection setup is expensive and the pool is never actually used.
